A little about me…I’ve been teaching since 2005. I teach Sophomore English and Senior Creative Writing at Morton West High School in Berwyn, Illinois. I am also the advisor for Morton West’s Student Council. Although I love my job, there’s a bit more to me…
While I’m not teaching, I’m an avid reader (of course). I read a variety of fiction and always appreciate a good recommendation. If I can’t bum around with a book, I’m on my feet. I am a runner, a biker, and a newbie to swimming. With a few marathons under my belt, I have my sights set on triathlons. Exercise is always enjoyable with my best pal, who happens to be my dog, Riley.
Riley is my exercise buddy, but my partner in crime is Chris, my boyfriend of over 5 years. I can’t always get him to run with me, but I can count on him for adventures underwater—we scuba dive whenever possible in late spring to summer. We frequently find ourselves busy in Northern Wisconsin, where we ski, hike, bike and most importantly, relax.
It is undeniable that I enjoy a laid back life, but I am always looking for ways to keep myself busy. Currently, I’m looking into graduate schools where I can earn my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. There’s so much more, but I’ll save some for later!
